MARKit is a decorative and illustrative design showcase of some of Australia’s best local designers. Beci Orpin will be peddling her fine folk-art inspired line of jewellery, brooches, cushions and crafty whatnot, as well as some limited edition gocco prints from her recent Lamington Drive exhibition, The Infinite Shape of Rainbows, at Sunday’s inaugural MARKit. Not to be confused with the Melbourne Design Market taking place in the underground car park, MARKit will remain above ground in Fed Square’s light-filled atrium. Though Beci won’t be there to personally bag up your specially-priced purchases (the lucky lady is heading off to Japan for a holiday), JW’s equally as lovely Bonnie Mooney will be on stall duty. She likes curly wurlys.
Other stallholders include Zaishu, Third Drawer Down, and Victoria Mason. Sunday 11th July, 10am-5pm.
